My Students

"Create today, improve tomorrow." By creating innovative projects that challenge students we are improving tomorrow. The goal I have for my students is that by the end of the year using technology will be second nature.

My students range from 9th graders to 12th graders and are intelligent, but obtaining the needed materials for their projects will motivate them to go above and beyond.

Our school is one of the top ranked in our state. At our school, the teachers and students are very involved in extracurricular clubs and activities.

My Project

With the requested materials my students will build a weather balloon and payload to launch into near space and record information. They will be learning to use GPS software, flight prediction software, and video software. They will be creating a presentation to show elementary students and inform them of how they did the project and what instruments (barometer, altimeter, temperature gauge) were used and how they work. However, the material use won't end with this project. The GoPro HERO and other materials will be incorporated into other projects.

By obtaining these materials, my students will be more motivated to complete their project and go beyond their current limitations.

The requested materials will improve the classroom by allowing for more technology use and projects for the students.
