My Students

Have you ever tried to teach 30 students how to sew? How about to use a fine tip brush to accent details in a painting? Teaching a class small details is a difficulty many teachers face but especially art teachers as we are a detail-oriented discipline.

Our students are inquisitive and full of energy like middle schoolers should be!

The school is a public middle school for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in New Jersey. The students within these walls are passionate, well-rounded, and have enthusiasm like no other.

My Project

With this document camera, my students will finally be able to see the finer details in life...literally! The uses for this type of camera in an art setting are boundless. Besides finally being able to enlarge small details for every student in the classroom, this camera can also be used to create stop-animation, which my students express an interest in every year. This could be the start to a whole new discipline for my budding artists to learn and express themselves through.

With a changing world that is steadily adjusting to a technology-based setting, all classrooms should have the materials to make teaching more interesting and engaging for the students.

This document camera will help students become involved in the details that go into art and start to appreciate the finer things. The possibilities are endless, and this is something that can and will be used daily in our classroom.
