My Students

Technology in the hands of students opens them up to a world they could never experience within our small rural community. These two tablets will be used for individual instruction, small groups, and whole group projects allowing students to access an unknown world and the best of instructional tools.

Our students are enthusiastic about learning--they are waiting for every opportunity to gain new knowledge.

They are always willing to go the extra mile so that they can become the "master" of subjects. Our school has over 80% of students on free/reduced lunch and is located in a small rural community within a large farming county. Students know what hard work means by watching their families and are proud to give their best. As teachers, we want to provide them with the best instructional resources. We want them to be knowledgeable citizens of this community that they are so proud of so that they can continue to make this a wonderful place to live.

My Project

Putting tablets in the hands of students who only have computer/Internet access within the school day will encourage learning and support enthusiasm during instructional times. With two these tablets, students will be able to explore the Internet for integrated projects, play educational games that are chosen specifically through research based sites, monitor their progress through educational programs, take assessments online with instant feedback on their mastery of common core state standards, and allow access to a world of books!

The difference that this donation will make is unmeasurable.

Allowing students hands-on access to the Internet and all it offers will provide our students with global experience and skills that they will benefit from as they progress in education. In our district, our goal is to make technology a 1:1 ratio with the every student in every building. These tablets will be helping us begin that mission.
