Even though people say we are living in a digital world, my students do not have access to technology on a daily basis. An LCD projector would give them exposure to various educational websites and allow for interactive and visual learning opportunities.
My second graders are a diverse group of learners.
The majority of my students respond to highly visual and interactive lessons. Half of my students are English Language Learners and rely on visual aids for understanding the curriculum material, especially challenging content vocabulary.
My Project
Having an LCD projector in our classroom would greatly enhance many lessons in all subject areas. The projector would allow all students to participate in interactive learning through teacher created power points and interactive vocabulary games. They would be able to better understand core concepts through various educational website activities. This projector would also allow for students to clearly see various free educational videos through safari montage and other educational sources. My students will become more engaged through the interactive and visual learning an LCD projector in the classroom could provide for them.
As the demand for technology in classrooms continues to rise, my students are not getting the exposure to it that they need.
