My students have great daily challenges in their lives, but still come to school excited and ready to learn!

Our classroom is twenty-six students strong and most are English Language Learners, who just a year or two ago were barely speaking any English. It's been incredible to see their growth both academically and socially. They are hard workers and truly care about their learning and each other.

My Project

We are creating a new flexible classroom learning environment where the learning is personalized. This is far from your traditional classroom setup. Students will take ownership of their own learning and it will be tailored to their preferences and academic needs. To help us create this new way of teaching and learning, we are hoping to have access to more classroom laptops. Students will be able to use these Samsung Chromebook laptops to keep track of their learning and their academic goals, create projects, complete research, use individualized academic programs, and complete and turn in assignments.

Your donation will allow this innovative new approach to teaching and learning become a reality in our classroom.

Students will be more engaged, take more responsibility of their learning, and as the teacher, I will be able to better meet the needs of every student.
