My Students

Every year, I have students who want to know if they can bring electronics in to school for various reasons. Every year, my answer is the same..."Sorry, no." I have to tell them this so nothing gets broken or worse, stolen. Yet, we need technology because technology teaches!

I have 32, wonderful, fifth grade students, who love to learn through technology.

My students are high risk with many hurdles to jump over to have academic success. Our school is one of the poorest in our urban school district. My students have difficultly with reading, which then falls into every other content area. Many don't have the technology at home so having it in school is an absolutely necessity.

My Project

An Apple iPpod would help change my students' lives. They are hard workers, who need technology to help them learn and understand our world. With an Apple iPod, they could investigate the world around them, explore new techniques for learning, and have fun doing it. With the Apple iPod, we could work on various websites to increase our abilities and skills.

Through your generous donations, my students would be able to learn through the technology at hand.

It would make a huge impact on their futures by helping them expand their capabilities and skills. It would make a huge impact on their self esteem by allowing them to see that they have what it takes to be a success.
