Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students do not have access to a computer, Internet, or other technological resources that could facilitate learning basic computer skills. They are visual learners. Visual devices would enhance their learning of new concepts and skills.

My students are Hispanic descendants born in California.

A large number are identified as English Language Learners. They all qualify for state or federally funded lunch program. They are respectful and caring. They are very creative and love the arts. They take learning very seriously. They see school and learning as their door to their future. They are enthusiastic about learning, and they love to explore and share their learning. They like to work in teams, and like to help each other to learn.

My Project

My students are very motivated and are enthusiastic about learning to use and learn through computers. They are highly visual learners. They can learn and recall better when they see more vividly what is been taught. A tablet would give us the instant capacity to locate information, graphs, maps, and other visual materials directly related to the topic in discussion. Also, it would help the teacher project research skills, new math games and language arts skills to the class before independent practice. My students will be introduced to computer skills, mathematics concepts, writing skills, art and music. This project would facilitate the learning of research and computer skills as well as language acquisition and diverse cultural appreciation.

This is project is so important to my students because it would give them greater access to the Internet to learn.

They will facilitate their language learning and become technologically proficient. This is a project that could make a big difference for their rest of their productive lives. Thank You for Caring so much!
