This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

A typical day in our class involves daily reading and writing, meeting whole group to introduce STEM concepts, breaking into collaborative groups to reinforce new concept, review new information again whole group using google classroom, and assessing material using interactive electronics.

My students are a group of English language learners.

The students come to school everyday ready to achieve, hear sounds, touch textures, and taste new things! Our High School students face many barriers daily due to numerous social factors. The teachers and staff at our school work beyond our contracted hours to teach English, math skills, Reading, and writing so that our students can succeed in college, career and life skill career preparation certification programs.

My Project

The iPads that are desired for my High school class will be used to enhance the concepts taught in class. English language learners are more successful when learning with visual prompts and audio prompts. The iPads will be used during the daily rotation, which means every child will interact with the iPads in the morning during reading lessons, and in the afternoon during STEM flex lessons. Due to our 21st century technology demand, having the iPads accessible for learning in my class will reach all students with various learning needs. 85% of our students are exposed to some type of electronic, whether its an iPad, smartphone, or laptop. Our students enjoy the sounds and visuals that technology has to offer. The iPads will engage all of my students and make learning more meaningful. My students will be exposed to concepts through technology that will change

2 iPads will enhance Reader Leaders at High School level to participate in technology learning.
