My Students

At the beginning of every class I greet my students in Spanish, “¡Buenos días, clase!” And they reply, “¡Buenos días, Señorita Paz!” Keeping that enthusiasm going for the entire school year is my main goal.

I get to teach nearly 1,000 students from kindergarten to 5th grade.

Our students here at LPES are such a pleasure to work with and I am very honored to be a part of introducing a second language to these kiddos at such a young age. Because they are starting early, they have a voracious appetite for learning and their sponge-like brains soak up Spanish in no time.

My Project

I would love to have iPads in my classroom so that students can work together on engaging activities that will offer them even more exposure to the target language. They will use different apps and tools such as QR Code readers, Google Translate, and a variety of games to offer additional practice in Spanish.

Students love having access to technology in their learning environment and it offers so many different resources to enrich their learning experience.

My vision for the Spanish program at LPES is to see even more students engaged and excited about learning another language.
