My third grade students are eager to learn! They have creative minds and understand the value of a well rounded education. An iPad mini would allow students to have daily access to the latest technology in the classroom. Our class motto is "Dream Big" and your donation will help build those dreams!
Our class consists of 28 fabulous third graders who come from multicultural backgrounds and some from homes that may lack Internet access.
My students love reading, researching new subjects online, and appreciate the privilege of being in school. They have inquisitive minds and a passion for technology. With 28 students and two classroom computers, their resources are limited. An iPad mini in the class would be a learning tool used all day, every day!
An iPad mini will be used to reinforce science, math, reading, and social studies skills through the use of technology. It will also help to meet the technology needs of the new Common Core standards.
Students will be able to learn 21st century skills and research projects by accessing the Internet. Not only will it provide a research tool, it will allow an opportunity to download educational apps for struggling learners to practice skills in which they need help and the gifted learners will be able to work ahead on enrichment topics.
My Project
Students will access an iPad mini to complete research projects and play educational games on the iPad, individually and in groups. An iPad provides many educational opportunities for all my students. All learners benefit from the iPad daily.
There are hundreds of apps that my students use to reinforce the Common Core State Standards that are very engaging. We use the iPad for all content areas. An iPad in our classroom provides limitless learning opportunities for my students. The iPad will be used to do research for our upcoming animal reports too!
The students will build skills in reading, math, science, and social studies as well as technology while having fun. I will be able to monitor their progress. The students will develop skills that they will carry with them throughout their lives.
Having an iPad mini in the classroom would increase the exposure the students would get with the great learning apps. This would be a tremendous help to our classroom!

My students would access an iPad mini each day by using it to research subjects which spark student interest from our third grade curriculum like planets, animals, plants, community, math skills, reading and literacy improvement, and more!
