Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Projects are my favorite, but some students fear them. Without the extra supplies poster and video projects can be difficult.

Our school is very large and has students of all different ethnic and economic backgrounds.

While all of their families are supportive of education, they don't all have the means to send extra supplies for 21st century style projects. Most students enjoy doing video, audio and poster projects when they have the materials to do them.

My Project

The variety of materials requested will assist my students by allowing me to differentiate with technology. The speakers allow the entire class to hear explanations. The headphones will allow those that need a re-explanation the chance to hear it privately or a chance to listen to music to block out distractions. The flash drives and memory devices allow students to keep group work in class and read from a variety of media they may use outside of class. The printer, laminator and accessories allow us to print and preserve the best samples for students to keep and for example for future classes. The camera case will keep cameras donated on other projects and readers organized in their own special space.

This project will give me a wide variety of tools to differentiate instruction for my wonderful students.

It provides a wealth of technology items to assist all of them. It levels the playing field, so that those with economic means and those without can easily participate at same level on projects.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
