My Students

I am a new teacher looking to build my classroom library. The more you read the more you learn!!

I just got hired mid year to open a new first grade class.

I have just relocated from Pittsburgh to Tennessee and my students attend a low income urban school. I would like to provide my new first grade students with as many new and positive experiences in school as I can and nothing does that better than reading books!

My Project

I am looking to build my classroom library up with books that interest my first graders so that they are eager to read!! They will be reading these books during reading block when they go to the library center. They love Fly Guy, Henry and Mudge and Fancy Nancy!!

This is my first attempt at Donors Choose and I have heard wonderful things about the people that are willing to help all over the country!

I hope that this is a positive experience for myself and my students! We are excited!!
