Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are getting ready to lead us through the 21st century. Unfortunately, the technology that we are using is stuck in the 20th century! How can this be? We need help to seize the future with technology to support dynamic and engaging lessons.

My students attend a Title 1 Achievement school that was also awarded the California Distinguished school award.

These ELL (English Language Learners) students are unspoiled and they appreciate good materials at school. The students at this inner city CA school are in danger of being corrupted without a great education and the tools to support it.

My Project

The projector that I am requesting will support 21st Century Learning skills. Students will be able to engage as a classroom in dynamic presentations, explore the Internet as a collaborative unit, and lead each other in discussions that encourage engagement and authentic learning. Visuals and graphics can be utilized and enhanced with the speaker capabilities of the projector bringing sound into presentations that will assist in the needs of those students who demand reinforcement of key words and ideas.

Technology is a necessity within education that is often overlooked.

Some see it as a mere tool of the teacher, but it is so much more than that in the 21st Century. With more exposure to technology, students will be better equipped to lead the world. Let them be engaged with the proper tools to succeed.
