Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students of today have been using some sort of technology since they were about two or three years old. I believe to successfully engage students in lessons teachers must incorporate technology into lessons and projects.
I teach four sections of 4th grade Reading.
Each class has a wide range of ability levels and learning types. My students are eager to use technology to help them be the best learners possible and showcase their creative sides. Through the use of technology my students will be engaged with many different applications.
My Project
The iPad will be utilized in many ways in the classroom. The case will be used to protect the iPad from accidental drops. My students will use apps such as AudioBoom, iMovie, ChatterPix, and Animoto to create presentations to share their learning with class. We will also use apps like Plickers and Decide Now for student engagement. All these apps and many more will be much more engaging than any paper and pencil activity assigned.
These donations will allow my class the opportunity to showcase their learning and creativity in so many different ways.
This will help them think outside the box. The reach of this donation is far beyond my classroom. It will help prepare the students for years to come and even college.
