Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students are rarely exposed to current and relevant science discoveries.

My students come from a community limited in resources.

Therefore, they come to school excited to learn everything and anything you place in front of them. Fortunately, they attend a school that will go out of it's way to provide them with the necessary tools needed to succeed.

My Project

The Weekly Science Reader will provide my students with a variety of articles and current news briefs about life, earth, and physical science news. Not only will my students be provided with the opportunity to read the latest in the field of science, but will also be fine tuning their reading skills.

The Weekly Science Reader will give students an opportunity to read about the most current discoveries and advances in science that are not yet in their textbooks.

Also, the information is provided in an easy to read format, with many photographs, graphs and charts.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
