My Students

My students love cup stacking, but I do not have enough sets so that all students can participate at the same time. They want to compete against others, but this leaves for too much standing around time and not enough activity time.

My students in fifth grade recently participated in the Guinness World Record cup stacking day.

These students are from a middle class community in a K-5th grade school. They had a blast doing the cup stacking and now want to do it more often. This is a great activity for some of the "physically challenged" students attending our school.

My Project

Some students do not like all the physical things we do in Physical Education class. Cup stacking is an activity that will allow them to develop eye/hand coordination and ambidexterity which they may not do otherwise. They will also improve focus and attention span. This activity gives everyone, regardless of their athletic ability a chance for success. This is a fast paced individual or team activity. Students race against the clock or against other students. This activity pack will keep the entire class busy during their entire Physical Education class time and that is a very important aspect of my program.

Donations that will allow us to receive this cup stacking set will keep allow students, regardless of ability levels or age levels, to participate in a fun activity that helps to develop both creativity and problem-solving skills.

ALL students can SUCCEED with this project.
