My students need kit materials and games for fine motor centers to help them develop pre-writing and self-help skills.

My Students

Snap It! Zip It! Pull It! Grip It! These are all actions most of us perform every day without even thinking about it. For my students with developmental delays, these tasks can be quite challenging.

My students attend school in a classroom for students with multiple disabilities.

Most of my students have autism. My students are energetic and excited to face new challenges every day. They need hands-on, engaging activities to help them reach their goals.

My Project

I am requesting materials that will allow my students to participate in fine motor learning centers. The fine-motor games, activity idea book, and hand-shaping gloves will help my students to acquire skills that will contribute to self-help skills such as dressing and eating, as well as future writing skills. The materials will allow our classroom staff to offer new and different activities for our students who have grown tired and bored of our limited activities we already have available.

Without the fine-motor skills that the students will learn through centers with these materials, it will be difficult for them to function in independently in their future lives.

The skills are necessary for them to be successful and to contribute to the communities in which they live. Your donations will help provide my students with a solid foundation that they will build on as they grow older and continue in their school careers.
