My Students

Having a physical paper in your hand allows the printed word to come to life!

My students are digital natives.

They have been born with cell phones and tablets in their hands. They are young teenagers who are immersed in the online world. As eighth graders, they need to be encouraged to successfully move into the physicality of paper and ink.

My Project

Students should have the ability to have physical contact with their words. As they become effective writers, so too should they be allowed to become authors of their learning. My students need 4 Brother toner cartridges for our classroom printer. As students work on the classroom computers, they will be able to print out their essays and assignments to share with their classmates.

This will allow them the advantage of receiving necessary feedback and grow from the experience of their writing.

Being able to edit and share work with one another will encourage students to boost their self-esteem, removed from the Internet landscape.
