Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Late last year, a few of my second grade students were bullied by upper grade children in the school restroom. Perhaps if all these students had had the bullying lessons that are part of this project, there would not have been a problem.

My second grade students come from loving homes with supportive parents.

The Donors Choose designation for my school is that of high poverty school. Most of the students at school are on free meal plans for both breakfast and lunch. Finally, many of these children are English Learners. The students at this school have appreciated the supplies and equipment that have been provided by both individual and corporate donations from people like you. Thank you in advance for not only considering my projects, but those of my fellow teachers and neighboring schools in my area. All acts of kindness are most appreciated and again I thank you.

My Project

Imagine a time when you were bullied in school by children who were older than you or the same age. This project will teach children how to handle themselves, and hopefully they will lead a life free of bullying stress. Donors, the requested resources for this project are the bullying books, along with a new LCD Computer Technology Monitor to make a difference this year, and for many years to come. The bullying books will be added to our growing bullying center. The technology monitor will give students a much clearer view of the Internet when they do bullying research on the internet.

Donors, this request for books on bullying and a new LCD Computer Monitor is important because my children will both add to their growing bullying library and have a clearer view of the world.

It will make a difference because this update can only improve the progress that I know my children can make. As always, I thank you in advance for your consideration and donations.
