This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Los Angeles Unified School District is having budget challenges which limits our opportunity to purchase technology items in our Pre-K classroom.

I work at an early education center which is located in Los Angeles, California.

The bright children I serve are from low-income families in the urban community of South Central Los Angeles. With the odds against them they continue to grow and flourish daily.

My Project

My Pre-K students need a computer to help them develop their technology skills which will help them grow in their early development skills. This computer and software will help my Pre-K students thrive in their early literacy skills, practice math concepts, and utilize other educational resources on the Internet. By having a computer in my class, my student will be better prepared in the 21st century.

By having a computer my Pre-K students will have the opportunity to work at their own pace and learn to use the different software.

The computer will also help my students to be more focused on their letter recognition and daily word skills. This will build their vocabulary daily which will help them learn to read. If my students get the opportunity to have a computer they would be very happy. Therefore I will be very grateful to find donors to support this needed project to help my children.
