This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember those special times where you got to work with your teacher in small groups?

The majority of my students are 2-3 years below grade level with basic skills in reading, math, and writing.

They attend a public charter school in a high poverty neighborhood. My students know the steps they need to take to get to college and be successful!

My Project

These resources will change my students' lives because they will provide an opportunity for me to work with them in small groups. In small groups I will be able to teach at their level and teach what they need to know or basic skills they are lacking. The resources that I am requesting are math and literacy "games" that my students can work on independently to practice their skills while I can provide more focused instruction to students in need. The games provide practice with long division, multiplication, grammar, and writing.

This project will make a difference because it will ensure all of my students in years to come will master all skills to ensure their success!

I will be able to use these materials to teach a wide variety of standards and skills to all of my students.
