This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a great problem...my students love to read. Our new paperback books will be read again and again by my students and will eventually fall apart if not protected. Kapco's plastic book covers may be applied over these new paperback books ensuring that they may be read for years to come.

Although my students live in the inner city and the majority of them are benefiting from the free lunch program, they find solace and power in books.

My students read throughout the day - in class, during their recess and lunch time, and in our after school Accelerated Reader Program. They have read 482 books in one month.

My Project

We just received a new reading series which came with paperback books which students may read by themselves as I work with other students in a small group. I already know that these new paperback books will be read hundreds of times by my current students and those in subsequent years. Even though my students are careful with our classroom books, these paperback books may become damaged simply because they are read so often.

Please help to save these new paperback books by donating your hard earned money and giving my students the chance to read on grade level and beyond.
