My students need 2 circular tables for small group work as well as a few bean bags so that they can work comfortably and individually to maximize their learning skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
A typical day in my classroom involves seeing sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. I see students of various math abilities and we work hard daily to improve their math skills. This year our focus is Personalized learning as well as small group learning for all our students.
The students I work with come from low income families, specifically 81.9% of my students are from low income households.
The students I see at our school want to achieve. They truly work hard to do their best! Our school is a charter school that students and their families want to come to rather than going to a school in their neighborhood as they are safe and welcomed and learning is happening at its best each and everyday!
My Project
With these tables I will be able to maximize the learning taking place in our classroom. With the use of these tables I can set up learning groups and stations. By having tables students will feel they are really part of the group and social skills can improve as well.
With the bean bags students can move around the room and sit comfortably while working on individual math assignments or activities. Letting them chose their space will help keep them engaged and motivated to work at their best.
I am confident and excited that with the addition of these seating options in our classroom, students will be able to remain more engaged in their independent and small group work.
I believe providing my students with seating options will increase their ability to succeed academically, socially and behaviorally.
