My Students

Imagine being in Kindergarten and having your first opportunity to play an instrument. Now imagine that you finally get to play the instrument and it breaks! This has been happening in our music room!

The students in our school have challenges both in and out of school.

Music is a place where students of all learning types can come and feel successful. Music provides opportunities for our students that they may not get to experience otherwise. Music is a place where students can come and work together as a team for an ear-pleasing end result.

My Project

The addition of new sand blocks to our classroom will allow students to play sand block parts without worrying if their instrument is going to fall apart. The addition of these new sand blocks will also provide opportunities for more than a few students to play sand blocks at one time. Our sand blocks are dropping like flies!

New sand blocks will give my students the opportunity to play an exciting new instrument that is in working condition.

Our current sand blocks were purchased when our building first opened and need to be replaced. This project will help my younger students experience music in a "new" way!
