My Students

Do you remember your elementary years when you drew a document and it was dull? Then, you added color, it was as if you brought the document to life.

My 5th and 6th grade students are from an economically disadvantaged neighborhood.

They are an energetic bunch who love to express themselves orally and visually. I would like to shed a bit of color and display student work in the hallways. We use technology to enhance both our math and science curriculum daily.

My Project

Our school communicates with parents by sending home information daily. If our school starts a newspaper, a colored printer would allow us to visually express what is normally black and white. The colored printer will also allow students to have a printout of their work in color rather than black and white. The ink cartridges will allow us to have additional ink for the upcoming school year.

My project is aligned with the 21st Century skill for students to be effective communicator and college career ready.

Therefore, it is important because the students have began to use technology as a way to communicate and create through the use of various software programs. Your donation will also help to create a colorful portfolio for each student as well as communicate with the school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
