My Students

When I asked my students what their favorite things were about kindergarten this year they all agreed it was all of our nonfiction units of study. They enjoyed being entomologists and they truly loved being zoologists!

My students are a very unique group.

We are a Title 1 school and most of our children are living in temporary housing. We are also in a temporary school. It has been an amazing year thanks to wonderful donors like you. However after completing a year, I've found there were some things that I still need in order to help by students succeed.

My Project

I would love to add to my nonfiction library. I purchased some of the Pebble Plus books on my own and my kids loved them! The non-fiction books I am requesting would be used to supplement our science units. They would also be used for research for our informational writing and then placed in our classroom library for the children to read over and over again.

I would love to incorporate even more nonfiction into our year. My kids loved nonfiction books this past year and could not get enough of them. Please help to build our classroom library and fill it with these wonderful nonfiction titles that I know my kids would enjoy reading year after year.
