My Students

My students in Brighton, Colorado are looking for a way to express themselves. I am looking to create an opportunity for those students to do so through video production.

What grabs students attention more than the technology and the fast paced world around them?

Our school "actively promotes choice, critical thinking, problem solving, and character development of the whole child, enabling students to achieve academic excellence in a safe environment." The 5th through 8th grade students that have selected art as one of their electives are always looking for new and exciting ways to develop their artistic voice.

My Project

What will this computer allow us to do in our room? I plan to offer: Video Production Classes where students will learn: One take videos, In camera editing, Start/stop animation, IMovie editing, Premier Pro Editing, and After Effects Flipped Classrooms Videos Video Shorts Weekly School News

Every student needs a voice and art is a fantastic way for students to find and express their own personal voice.

I am always looking for ways to expand the artistic experience in my classroom. Video production is our next step in expanding the arts beyond the traditional media used in most middle school art rooms
