New Instruments for Fun Student Learning Part 6

My students need a new alto xylophone to replace the one we currently have that is falling apart.

My Students

"The bar fell off!" and "Why does this part not work?" are only 2 of several comments and questions my students had the last time we played instruments. The instruments we currently have are showing signs of wear and tear that can be hazardous to my students.

I teach PK-3rd grade music on a military base in Texas.

98% of the students in my school are from military families, many of whom have a parent deployed in a hostile situation. Many of the students qualify for reduced or free lunch. I have students that have lived all over the United States and even the world.

My Project

For part six of this project, I have requested an alto xylophone to replace what we have. This instrument sounds wonderful and the bars are imprinted with the note name and location on the music staff. The students will be able to play the instruments and learn to read music at the same time.

Your help with this project will allow my students the opportunity to make music using quality instruments.

My students love coming to my class because they know that they get to play the instruments. I want them to have something better than instruments that are falling apart.
