My Students

Pride in your work and showing it off to those that are important is an important step in the learning experience. Every year we put together work portfolios of our best work we have done through the year in order to present it to our parents at the year end.

I teach a fifth grade class in a low income school.

I have a mixture of student ethnicity, social economic and academic ability. The students come to school every day willing to learn and do their best, and excited to show off what they have done through the day and the week to those around them.

My Project

Every week I have the students choose their best work from the week to include in their portfolio. The students choose work they are proud of and want to show off to their friends and family. I also choose work to include in their portfolio. When their work is chosen they prepare it to include in their portfolio, a collection of work they will show off to their parents at the end of the school year. We need the supplies I requested in order to efficiently put the portfolios together in our classroom.

As well as using these supplies to put together our portfolios, something the students are very proud of, we will also be able to use them during various other projects through out the school year.

The is a great opportunity to donate the essentials to create a well functioning classroom.
