Drawing and painting can be teaches many tricks of 2-dimensional work, but how can you work with 3-dimensional materials?
My students are a lively bunch!
I teach at two schools, and i love to see them every week. Our school district is over 80% low income with a diverse community. Many students transfer in during the year from different schools, states, or even countries with little to no experience with art. We teach respect and responsibility in our district, and the students demonstrate their pride in their school in all classes, including my art rooms.
My Project
With the resources requested, I will be able to educate students on 3-dimensional artworks without needing a kiln. Crayola Model Magic is a great material to work with at the elementary/primary levels, and students have shown their love for working with the clay as well. Using multiple colors has been a favorite of theirs and they share colors mixed within their groups. With clay, students gain more understanding from shape to form, and how forms can vary in size. The more practice they have with the material, the better their craftsmanship becomes.
This project is important to my students because they share the most love for using this material in making their projects.
With the amount requested, I would be able to supply the clay and tools for both my schools. From angry birds to Miro monsters, my students look forward to working with Model Magic when the material is available.
