Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember being in first grade, trying to sit still and learn? It's hard for first graders to be still, so we try to have an active learning environment. With the help of the iPod touch we could really be active learners. The iPod touch is so mobile and easy to use we can take it anywhere.

My students are amazing first graders.

They are sweet and loving and kind. Most of them come from a very difficult economic background. We don't have a lot of technology at my school, but I am hoping to change all that. Please help me give my students the chance they deserve.

My Project

With the iPod touch, we can take our learning all over the school. We can transform any place in our school into a fun learning environment. For first grade, practicing reading is important. Unfortunately, many of my kids are not able to practice at home due to lack of resources. I want to provide them with lots of practice at school so they can be successful readers and learners. Please help me give them a better chance. Thanks.

This project could make a difference in so many of my struggling readers lives.

Because of our economic disadvantage many of our children are behind in their learning. I believe with this technology we can change that. We can give them a better chance at succeeding in their education.
