My Students

Physics is more FUN when you can experience it hands on. Learning through inquiry is a huge part of the physics program at our school.

My students are inquisitive and enjoy learning through discovery.

They thrive on being challenged.The majority of the students at my school take at least one physics course. Most are college bound and the inclusion of physics to their science education is important. We teach four levels of physics: College Prep, Honors, AP B and AP C.

My Project

A key objective in Physics is the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions about the relationships between variables, and then apply those relationships to the real world. The force sensors I am requesting will allow my students to explore connections between force and other variables such as acceleration, time, and momentum. Using the force sensors, the students will collect data. The data will then be used in conjunction with a data analysis program, already installed on their computers, to further apply Physics to real world situations and deepen their knowledge of the concepts.

These force sensors along with the data analysis program will be used to build a strong foundation of basic physics concepts.

This is paramount for any career related to engineering, physics or data analysis. In addition, these sensors are widely used in today's college laboratories and through the mastery of the force sensors my students will be better prepared for success in university science courses.
