My students need and deserve enough batteries to help run their Leapsters and Tag Readers throughout the year and headphones as well.

My Students

Hi, I teach kindergarten to a wonderful and exciting group of 5-6 year old boys and girls at a Title 1 school. This means that more than 86% of our students live at or below the poverty level.

Kindergarten is such a crucial part of a child's education.

For the most part, it is a child's first experience with academics. Therefore, it is important that my students have everything they need to ensure that their school year is productive, fun and exciting. I always work hard to ensure this happens. I use a lot of technology that will help my students learn in exciting ways.

My Project

Unfortunately, with budget cuts and other monetary issues, it is impossible for my school to supply the necessary materials to allow the electronics and technology to run throughout the school year. Our Leapsters and Tag Readers need AA and AAA batteries to help them run. We also need more headphones for this technology so my students can use them without being distracted from hearing everyone else's Leapsters or Tags when they are in use.

Please, I know that it takes a special person to donate to a group of students they don't know, but my students are worth it.

They deserve to have all the materials they need to use our classroom technology throughout the school year. This way our school year will be fun, productive and exciting.
