My Students

My students in my advanced Math class are learning to manage their money through a checking account. As they get older they will be obtaining a job along with bills and other expenses. Keeping an exact account of their expenses will help them in planning a budget to meet their needs.

My students possess outstanding behavior in our classroom which creates a wonderful learning environment.

Our vision at our school is to be the center for learning where individuals will reach their fullest developmental and personal potential to enrich their lives.

My Project

My students will be writing checks, keeping checkbook records and reconciling their bank statements. By having their own calculators the students will be able to keep their accounts balanced and up to date. Technology has made banking faster and easier. Having the students perform the transactions hands on will enable them to see where all their money goes after each entry.

My students will be able to take ownership on their own checking accounts.

By managing their own accounts my students will be able to "see" where their money is going and help them to budget and make long term goals in managing their money wisely.
