Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help! What number is this?! Most of my five year-old kindergarten students come to school with little experience in counting or identifying numbers.

My thirty students are energetic, active, and enthusiastic learners who absorb new information like little sponges.

Many come from economically disadvantaged homes. My class is filled with the most friendly, lovable, respectful kids you will ever meet!

My Project

We are requesting a variety of math materials to help us learn all sorts of math skills! My students can use these materials independently during center time. We would like the Math Instant Learning Centers. With step-by-step picture instructions and hands-on activities that come ready to use, these instant centers make independent math practice a snap! The centers come with everything kids need to complete super-involving activities that cover a wide range of early math skills, from matching and patterning with kid-pleasing shapes to estimating and adding with cute bug counters. We are also requesting the Read & Solve Word Problem Center. Children build addition and subtraction skills with numbers 1-10 as they solve simple word problems hands-on. Lastly, we would like the Slide & Count Simple Addition Center, which gives students a visual, concrete way to practice simple addition.

By supporting this project, you will provide my young learners with developmentally appropriate materials that will help them build basic math skills.

Our children want, need, and deserve these math materials to enhance their learning. These math manipulatives are durable and will withstand kindergarten play for many years to come, so your donation will have a far reaching impact on my school and community.
