My Students

Mastering math skills can be difficult for young students, yet the mastering of these skills is vital to success in math.

The students I teach live in a rural area where there is a lot of diversity and need.

My role as the math resource teacher is new to my school. Our students are serviced through small group intervention in grades K-3, and by providing support in the classroom in grades 1 and 3-5. Many of the students we work with struggle with the most basic of math concepts. Through intervention and small group instruction in the classrooms we are working to bridge the gaps in our student’s understanding of math concepts.

My Project

The games I am requesting will provide my students with the opportunity to take home a resource that will be fun, engaging, and provide them with practice on math skills they need to master. The games will also give students practice with standards based questions to help prepare them for the standardized tests they will take at the end of the school year.

Your support of this project will help to provide the students in my school with the additional practice and support in learning math skills that they need.

By using these take home games, students will gain more confidence in their abilities and be engaged in their own learning.
