My Students

My students are excited about learning and creating. Our Makerspace is a place that is providing a place where children can use a variety of materials to engage in exploring, inventing, and problem solving. I need to be able to provide my students with diverse materials to challenge them.

Makerspace is the children's favorite time of day.

We are just starting off and need help providing them with the proper space, organization, and materials. My children love the hands on learning that occurs in this space. They are making connections across curriculum to reading, math, science and social studies. They are engaging in higher level thinking skills as they create, analyze, and evaluate.

My Project

Children will be participating in a variety of experiences, all child centered. There will be a balance of children guiding their own learning as I coach them and me providing problems to solve and ideas for engagement. They will use materials, wooden craft sticks, wikki sticks and tree rings, to apply the skills they are learning to real world situations.

These children are the future and they need to be prepared to take this World by storm.

They are innovators, scientist, mathematicians, artist and more. Engaging in Makerspace allows our children to dream, build and apply what they have learned.
