This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students must learn BUDGET to integrate their knowledge of money, math skills, and attitudes about choice, and money

They are freshmen in high school for the first time.

They have all been accepted in a magnet program They attend a traditional high school in Florida. They also complete a internship program before graduation and receive a certificate of financial services from the Academy of Finance National Academy Foundation.

My Project

Students will build a monthly budget based on their incomes. They will write checks for their purchases and must balance both checkbooks and their budgets. Students will develop good judgment regarding spending and making a budget. Identify and experience the consequences for decisions.

Everyone benefits Mad City Money provides an answer to the question "why do I have to learn this?" It motivates students to learn by demonstrating a tangible applications of classroom lessons.

Students gain knowledge on the importance of money management.
