My Students
With increasing class sizes, I am trying to provide each student with math instruction that is appropriate for their individual skills. For some, this means more individual instruction, but for others it means individual practice and application of skills.
My students attend a public school in Massachusetts.
They are an enthusiastic group of 7-9 year old boys and girls who certainly keep me on my toes! They love (and need) engaging, hands-on activities to keep them interested and invested in learning.
My Project
The math materials that I am requesting will help me to provide opportunities for students for small group work, individual practice, and opportunities to play games with peers that will reinforce the skills that they need as they progress through their school careers and into the future.
With the ever increasing emphasis on mathematics, my elementary students need constant and continual reinforcement in order to become proficient in early skills.
Students learn best through exciting, engaging opportunities in which they are active participants.
