My Students

Do you have what it takes to make the world a better place? Our students do!! They are eager to explore their world and see what they can do to make a difference in their environment.

We are a small, rural K-8 school in North Alabama.

Our students love community projects especially the ones that involve working outside and making a difference in the environment! Approximately 75% of the students in our middle grades are members of the Jr. Civitan Club. Every year they complete several projects including a clean-up/beautification day at the local Civitan Preserve.

My Project

As the media specialist, I would like to teach my students that by taking care of our community we are actually part of something much greater! I want my students to learn about habitats around the world, the animals that live there, and what they can do to help protect these valuable ecosystems. Purchasing new, up-to-date nonfiction books about the environment will provide our students with knowledge and an appreciation of the importance of ecosystems on the world around us.
