My Students

Having easy access to books and having them at a level that my students would be able to self choose would be a great benefit to my class. Little hands, little feet, little reach. This would be an awesome addition for them.

We are a first grade class from Florida.

We are a public school with funding issues. I am looking for ways to motivate not only my readers but also my struggling readers. Having books at their eye level with easy access would be beneficial for all. My students range in height from tall to quite small. This book case would allow all my students equal access to our library.

My Project

My student would be able to choose their own books from our Read to Self center. Giving them the chance to choose for themselves with easy access would be such a great motivator. My little ones get frustrated when they can't reach the book they want. Sometimes I am in reading group and can not help them right away. Having this system available to them would be GREAT!

My project would benefit not only my students this school year, but also encourage all my future students to read.

Having access to, and being able to reach the book of choice would be a great motivator.
