My Students

Do you remember when you were in elementary school and you looked forward to playing outside and being active? Well for my students their only chance to achieve this goal is at school.

The students I work with are outstanding individuals.

They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day. Our school is located in a low income area with most students receiving free or reduced lunch. Most of my students have limited resources outside of school, so their only chance to experience enriching activities is at school.

My Project

With physical education and recess continually getting shorter, the need for physical activity is greater than ever. Having jump ropes, hula hoops, and other active play materials available would help students increase their physical activity and improve their gross motor skills. My previous Let's Get Moving project has been so successful, I have decided to post additional resources that will help continue the momentum.

If my students were given the chance to participate in well-structured fitness games every day, I truly believe that their perspectives on exercise would be changed forever.

As my students learned how to care for their bodies, their self-confidence would increase. They would see the importance of taking good care of themselves and would grow up to be adults who valued themselves and took good care of their bodies!
