My Students

We all know what it feels like to be singled out by the teacher to answer a question you don't know the answer to. Student response systems ("clickers") take the fear out of responding to questions.

Many of my students come from low income households.

Much of the technology available today is not available to them in their homes. In school, we try to provide opportunities to work with different technology in order to help prepare them for their futures.

My Project

Clickers provide an interactive way for students to respond to questions without the fear of being wrong and embarrassed in front of their peers. They also provide instant data for the teacher so that I'm able to see who is grasping the material and who still needs more work on specific skills.

With all that is available in technology, it becomes increasingly harder to hold student attention so that they are able to focus and learn.

Using clickers will help all students be more involved in their own learning so they can gain the skills needed to be successful not only in school but also in life.
