My Students

Children often have trouble expressing their emotions on their own. Studies have shown that the use of puppets improves a child's ability to express their emotions.

I teach a kindergarten class in a title 1 school.

Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and often English is not their first language. A large number of my students also receive free or reduced lunches. Although my students face many challenges, they always come to school ready to learn.

My Project

By providing puppets and a puppet theater to my students, you will be helping them to expand their vocabulary as well as helping them to appropriately express their emotions. Students will be able to act out familiar stories, create their own stories, or simply have a discussion with their friends.

By donating to this project, you will be helping my students in a variety of ways.

You will be helping some to improve their English language skills while simultaneously helping other students to improve this coping and communication skills. The classroom environment will dramatically change for the better!
