My students need the Legos bricks, Community Minifigures Set, the treehouse set and the Lego idea book to help make area and perimeter easier to understand.

My Students

My students need a concrete way to understand area and perimeter and Legos are the perfect way to do it. They are able to use the Legos to build structures and figure out the area and perimeter, just like an architect does.

My students are great kids.

They have a love of learning but sometimes have a hard time really "seeing" what they are doing in math. They always give a hundred percent. My school is a great place to learn. Teachers are always collaborating and giving a helping hand whenever they can. My grade level is great at sharing ideas and sharing students.

My Project

My students will use the Legos to help learn and review area and perimeter. They will use the book to help them come up with ideas on structures that they can create with the Legos, as well as use it to help them create their own structures with the Legos.

My project will make a difference because my students truly struggle with the concept of area and perimeter.

They have a hard time understanding what it is and how they will use it in real life. The Legos will help them see what they can use this concept for.
