Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a high poverty area in which they may not always have access to various enrichment materials like the ones I am requesting.
My students are enthusiastic learners who enjoy hands-on activities, working in groups, and participating in classroom discussions.
My students relate well to their peers and enjoy reading for pleasure.
My students appreciate anything that is donated to our classroom. They are currently learning how to multiply and divide. They are also learning to appreciate the work of various artists and learning how to write multiple paragraphs.
My Project
I am requesting books for our Leapfrog pens, protective cases and screens for our Kindles, and a mouse for each of our netbooks. These are to keep our previous donations safe and to make it easier for my students to use the netbooks. I am also requesting markers and post-it charts to make posters.
My project is so important because it protects previous donations, will help my students' reading fluency and comprehension, and will make it easier for my students to use the netbooks with each mouse we receive.
The markers and post-its will be to make useful learning posters for my students.
