My Students

Kids LOVE to play. Wouldn't it be nice if they could learn while they play? Absolutely, and now they can!

My students are four and five year old children preparing for Kindergarten.

Our school is located in a high poverty area, so providing rich experiences with quality materials is vital to their success. My students love to explore and experience new things. Providing learning games and puzzles will really spike their interest in learning, as well as provide a developmentally appropriate way for them to learn.

My Project

I have requested many games, puzzles and other activities that support our Pre-Kindergarten curriculum. We focus on early Math and literacy skills as well as developing gross and fine motor skills. These materials will support my students while learning numbers, letters and sounds, and many other skills that they will need in order to be successful in Kindergarten. By allowing the students to learn through play, we will create a sense of excitement about learning that is very important. In the end, my main goal is for my students to be excited to come to school and learn.

Our focus in Pre-K is to allow the students to learn through play because that is what is developmentally appropriate for four and five year old students.

These materials will allow them to do just that. These games and puzzles will reinforce and build on the skills my students need in order to be successful in Kindergarten, as well as provide a fun and motivating way for the students to learn. What could be better?
