Learning as We Grow!

My students need a Wii so that they can continue to have physical movement on rainy and snowy days or when it is extremely hot or cold. Please help them exercise!!!

My Students

Our students have special needs and sensory difficulties, and need physical activity no matter what the weather. They are always moving, the Wii would help them move in a productive manner.

We are a Learning Disabilities Self Contained class that has students with Autism, Mild Mental Disability, Emotional Behavioral Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

They attend a school that is 86% free and reduced lunch, which just makes getting any activity and movement while at school that much more important.

My Project

I am requesting a Wii for rainy days, snowy days and days when it is just too hot or cold to go outside to the playground or parking lot to play and run. They can play together inside, instead of sitting in front of the computer playing a game alone, the Wii would help them get their energy out and learn some new activity and games.

Our students are worked so hard, since they are behind academically.

They need this fun activity to work for when it is not conducive to go outside. This would help our students get the gross motor movement they need.
