Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students live in a community where they share similar ethnic cultures and backgrounds. We need materials to enhance our understanding of the diverse and multicultural world we live in.

The students in my school live in high poverty and attend a Title 1 school.

All of our students at this school receive a free breakfast and lunch due to their low economic status. Most of the students in my class are English language learners. My students come to school eager and willing to learn despite the hardships they face on a daily basis.

My Project

Many of my students do not have the opportunity to leave their community. They do not know what it is like to travel to a different place or experience many things. With these materials, my kindergarten students will be able to learn about the diversity that surrounds us. I am requesting diverse family photo cards, multicultural instruments, celebrations around the world activity box, and a tablet. They will be able to see photographic cards that show different ethnicities. The musical instruments will allow my students to learn about multicultural music. The celebrations around the world activity box will help my students learn about different cultures and traditions around the world. The tablet will be used to provide additional visual and hands-on support for my students. I want my students to be proud of their heritage and be able to learn about the diverse world we live in.

With your donations, you will be providing my students an opportunity in which they get to learn about different people and places.

My hope is for them to be able to experience this first hand at some point in their life. Why not expose them with this stepping stone? Only you can make that difference. Thank you so much for considering my project.
