This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a very hands-on teacher. I am going to a new school next year and they do not have iPads for their students. My students need to learn how to utilize this modern technology to become successful in this time generation!

We are from a big-small town!

We have five elementary schools so it is difficult to provide the funds needed for technology. Our school houses 75% of children with free or reduced price lunch, which makes us a Title I school. The teachers and staff create a friendly-family like environment to make the school a safe and welcoming environment. The children are so humble with one another. They are eager to learn when made excited by the fun activities associated with Math and Science experiments.

My Project

There are many learning opportunities that I will be able to provide my students with iPads in the classroom. I would use the iPads for DAILY instructional purposes. I will develop lesson plans utilizing the iPads various applications based on their learning styles and needs. The students will learn how to collaborate in small groups by having just a few iPads in the classroom. The students will be given higher-order thinking questions, and create products that utilize the STEM learning process. Students will be able to e-mail their final products to myself to assess their learning and understanding of the content taught.

By donating to my classroom project, not only will you provide additional access to technology for my classroom, but you will make a difference in the learning experiences of my students.

Students need to use their higher-level thinking skills and creative minds to develop products that express their newly learned knowledge. By having the advanced technology in the classroom, students will be prepared for the future of technology!
